Business segment

The business segment now features three large national and three international Bancassurance cooperations.

The German companies include:
  • TARGO Versicherungen as a partner of TARGOBANK (formally Citibank),
  • PB Versicherungen as a partner of Postbank and
  • neue leben Versicherungen as a partner of numerous Sparkasse savings banks in Germany.

On an international level, the business segment is currently active with the companies

  • Magyar Posta Életbiztosító Zrt. and Magyar Posta Biztosító Zrt in Hungary as partners of the Hungarian Post Office,
  • CiV Life in Russia as a partner of Citigroup and
  • CiV Hayat Sigorta in Turkey as a partner of Citigroup.
The current company head offices in Hamburg, Hameln, Hilden, Budapest, Istanbul and Moscow are local bases for Bancassurance activities at present. The total volume of premiums achieved by them was around 2.6 billion euros at the end of 2007, the number of policies was just over 2 million. The individual companies grew above the market average in recent years.

Our insurance companies are one of the first ports of call for Bancassurance – nationally and internationally.
We are working on the assumption that every second life insurance policy in Germany will be sold over the bank counter for the foreseeable future!"
